Agriculture

Working closely with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Plantations, Pinnacle is committed to promoting sustainability through transformative agriculture, forestry and carbon abatement projects. By driving carbon reductions and sustainable land management practices, our projects are focused on unlocking opportunities for meaningful and ethical investment in one of the most important sectors in the Sri Lankan economy - Agriculture.

Transformative Agriculture

Pinnacle envisions a Sri Lanka where Transformative Agriculture surpasses conventional methods to tackle sustainability, productivity, resource management, and socioeconomic challenges. The ultimate objective is to establish agricultural systems that are not only more efficient and resilient but also more equitable, fostering a more progressive and sustainable future for the country with the aim of achieving higher yields with reduced inputs.

Intercropping Projects

Intercropping stands as a sustainable agricultural method designed to leverage the advantages of crop diversity and the synergistic relationships between different plants to attain enhanced productivity and increased resilience. At present, Pinnacle is engaged in intercropping initiatives within Sri Lanka's North Western and North Central Provinces.

Greenhouse Projects

In addition to intercropping, Pinnacle also advocates for Greenhouse Agriculture. Supported by a reliable water source from nearby reservoirs or purpose-built deep-water wells, these greenhouses offer ideal growth settings, protecting crops from unfavorable weather and pests. This enables year-round cultivation, ultimately leading to elevated crop yields and improved quality.

Non-Conventional Agri Exports

Pinnacle's strategic focus on Non-Conventional Export commodities underscores its commitment to pioneering novel and forward-thinking approach in agriculture. Within this framework, Pinnacle consistently places an emphasis on cultivating crops that align with the evolving demands of the export market. Presently, this market exhibits a robust appetite for products like Chillies, Gerkin, Capsicum, and Betel Leaf. These commodities not only hold cultural and culinary significance but also present promising avenues for economic growth and diversification.

Projects with Ministry of Plantation

Pinnacle maintains a strong and collaborative partnership with the Ministry of Plantation. The ongoing efforts involve a series of strategic projects that underscore the commitment to fostering sustainable growth within the plantations sector. Notably, Pinnacle is actively engaged in cooperative ventures with Chilaw Plantations and the Coconut Development Authority. These collaborative initiatives reflect a dedication to innovation, knowledge sharing, and resource optimization.

Community Support Programs

A number of collaborative projects are in the process of being formulated, in close partnership with both the Ministry of Agriculture and the Mahaweli Authority of Sri Lanka. These projects are specifically designed to extend meaningful support to local communities in the region. By leveraging Pinnacle expertise and resources, these initiatives aim to bring about positive transformations in the agricultural landscape, empower local residents, and contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the area.
